As with the majority of at-home exercise equipment, indoor rowing machines have computerized systems that can track your meters traveled, rate, calories burned and more. Now some models have the ability to monitor your heart rate for a better workout.

Technology even allows individuals to compete with other rowers or the machine itself. This is a wonderful approach for keeping motivated and adding another level to your exercise routine.

Being able to set goals and see yourself improve gradually is a fantastic way to help individuals improve and master rowing. Instead of hiring a professional fitness instructor or signing up for a class, some people find that computerized devices can help them attain what they want on their own.

Rowing Machine Advantages

More people are getting introduced to indoor rowers through Crossfit gyms, gyms and even rowing machine clubs. As people try the sport, they realize that they can attain a whole-body exercise on one device.

They notice that they can get stronger muscles and benefit from an aerobic exercise simultaneously. They also discover an activity that is low impact and can be quickly learned at any age - no prior experience or special skills needed.

Recognizing all these benefits, many people are getting into the sport of indoor rowing without even touching the water. Plus, the additional benefit of rowing in your home makes this form of exercise much more enticing.

Quick and Effective Exercise Routines

Most of us are active all day long. We have jobs to manage and families to take care of and a range of other duties. In some cases, it can be tough to schedule an ongoing workout regimen. Having home workout machines can be a fantastic convenience. However, machines like treadmills or stationary bikes train only a portion of our bodies. They do not offer a whole body exercise.

Indoor rowing machines are wonderful for this reason, as they can strengthen the upper body muscles, legs and your whole core muscle group. In addition, while you are strengthening your muscles, you are also receiving the benefits of an aerobic exercise.

What this comes down to is that you can get more exercise done in a shorter period of time. This provides people the chance to exercise less often or for much shorter time periods without foregoing the health benefits. In fact, there is a wonderful 8-minute routine that I do regularly.
